About Us

Born from a common love of R&B, current, and classic rock, The Family Tree performs an eclectic collection of music at venues across NJ. Based at the Jersey Shore, our goal is to engage the audience and get them dancing.

With a collection of recognizable current and old songs our catalog goes from the Grateful Dead to Amy Winehouse. Furthermore, our goal is not to always play songs exactly the way they are played on the record. We may change the feel or arrangement of a song to make it reggae or introduce epic jams to put the Family Tree signature on it.

We are composed of a team of experienced musicians that have played all around the Tri-state area. Our team includes drums, bass, keyboards, vocals, and guitar. We have also been known to include horn players when the venue is right.

Over the past two years, we have played multiple outdoor venues, parties, famer’s markets, and charity events. We focused on outdoor shows due to the Covid pandemic, however recently we started playing indoor venues and are ready to make your venue hop. ​We are a responsible and reliable group, take short breaks, and are responsive to our audience.
